Coronavirus Information

Please be aware as of Monday 15th June you will be required to wear a face covering when attending the surgery. The face covering must cover your nose and mouth.

If you are asked to attend the surgery by one of our clinicians, we ask where possible that you attend alone. This is to ensure compliance with social distancing regulations. Thank you for helping you keep us all safe.

Due to the current coronavirus situation and in line with guidance from PHE and the CCG Newgate medical has made changes to appointment booking. This is to protect our patients and staff from being at risk of unnecessary infection.

If you need an appointment please contact the surgery on 01909500266 or use the booking system online. The receptionist will take details from you and a GP will then conduct the initial appointment over the phone. If the GP then wishes to see you in surgery they will advise of you the time and date to attend.

Our staff will be provided with a series of questions they need to ask to ensure that by booking face to face appointments there is no risk of infection.

Do not attend the surgery if prior to your appointment you develop:

  • Cough
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Body aches
  • Fever

Please call NHS 119 for further advice.

Whilst we appreciate that this is a significant change for our patients we hope that you will support us in our efforts to maintain the smooth running of the practice whilst attempting to reduce the risk to both patients and staff.
